Convert 10 licenses from Per User to Per Device

Question

I have 2 RDSH. One is domain joined the other is Workgroup. I want to use the 10 licenses I converted from the domain joined RDSH to the Non-Domain joined host.

How do I get those 10 licenses over to the non-domain joined host?

Backup License Information on the Domain-Joined RDSH

Deactivate the Licenses on the Domain-Joined RDSH

Install the Remote Desktop Licensing Role on the Workgroup RDSH

Activate the License Server on the Workgroup RDSH

Install the RDS CALs on the Workgroup RDSH

Verify the License Installation

Convert your license to a per-device basis on your License Server (where you have installed the licensing role).

Simply configure your local policy on a non-domain session host (specifying per device and the IP of the license server).

Ensure network access is available to all member PCs.
