Report Services 2019 don't create IIS Virtual Folders

Dear Community,

I recently updated my SQL Server 2016 Standard instance to 2019, which is used for ConfigMgr CB. While doing so, I also had to uninstall Reporting Service 2019.

Now when I want to install Reporting Services 2019 again, I found out that I cannot browse the Web Service URL from within the Report Server Configuration Manager. Doing so, I receive and HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. When I open up IIS Management Console, I also found out the Virtual Directories for Report Server and Reports haven't been created yet, although there were no errors within the Report Server Configuration Manager. Neither http nor https is working. The Default Web Site for sure is also used for ConfigMgr components like Management Point and Distribution Point as well and is configured to use port 80 for http and 443 for https. PKI and appropriate certificates are in place.

In ConfigMgr there is also the error message "The report server service is not running on Reporting Service Point server "servername.fqdn"; start the service to enable reporting. The SQLServerReportingServices are up and running.

Any ideas how to fix this behavior?

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

Issue could be resolved by completly deleting the existing Reporting Services database including reconfiguration starting wth Web Portal URL first before Web Service URL. Thanks for your support and sorry for the late answer.
