Microsoft 365 apps will not use the default printer

The Microsoft 365 apps do not use the system default printer in Windows 10. We have repaired and reset the Mircosoft 365 installation, uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, deleted and reinstalled the printer and checked the registry settings. We have also cycled the Auto Select setting, printed to the default and restarted the machines.

    Word will use the selected printer for the current session, unless you change printers manually (again) at File > Print. To go back to the default printer, exit and restart the program.
