Hello,
After the end of support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, individual faculty members and students can obtain Extended Security Updates (ESU) through a paid subscription. Here are the key options available:
Enroll in the ESU Program: This program allows you to receive critical and important security updates for up to three years after the end of support. The ESU subscription is renewed annually.
Transition to Windows 11: Microsoft encourages users to upgrade to Windows 11, which offers enhanced security features and tools.
Volume Licensing: Educational institutions can purchase ESU through volume licensing agreements, which might offer more favorable terms for larger groups.
Windows 365: For those using Windows 365, ESU will be provided at no additional cost.
