Installed a new font and now no custom fonts are pulling through when saving as PDF from PowerPoint

Hi there,

I have installed specific fonts onto my Mac and they've worked fine across the Microsoft office suite apps including when saving the documents as PDF files (specifically from PowerPoint). But today, I installed a new font and now all the fonts, including previous fonts I have installed, are no longer pulling through when I save documents as PDFs from the Microsoft suites. I have tried over and over to save documents from PowerPoint to PDF using the fonts but they keep reverting back to Aptos on the PDF, even though the PowerPoint has the specific fonts I installed visible on them. This is not specific to the new font but all fonts I have installed previously.

This isn't an issue with the Mac, I spoke to Apple and we tried using Keynote and converting it to PDF using the specific fonts and it works fine - so also isn't a problem with Adobe. I have tried deleting and re-installing the fonts, and completely deleting (so even after deleting them all it still isn't fixed) and restarting the laptop and apps several times.

This issue has also occurred on my colleague's laptop too. Is there anyone that can help please?

    Hi,

Did you try to select the “Best for Printing” option when try to save as .pdf format?

You can try this method and test.

What the format of the font you are using? PowerPoint cannot read some font, please make sure you're using .TTF format fonts.
