How do I search folders in Microsoft Office 365 outlook, desktop version?

With the Microsoft Outlook app for iOS, I can move messages to folders by searching for the folder name instead of scrolling down through all my folders. In the desktop version of Outlook, how do I do that? When I click the Move icon, my most recent folders are displayed but for any others, I have to select Other Folder and then scroll down until I find it.

Welcome to our forum!

Do you want to move specific messages to the folder you want by searching in Outlook Desktop Client? If so, you may refer to the article to learn how to search the specific message and then move it to the folder you want.

When I click the Move icon, my most recent folders are displayed but for any others, I have to select Other Folder and then scroll down until I find it.

Based on my research, that's true, but once you've moved an email to a specific folder, and you move another message again, that particular folder from before will also appear in the Recently Moved folder record.

I want to move a specific message from my Inbox to a specific Folder. In the mobile app version of Outlook, I can select Move to Folder. Then I have a window that that pops up showing me all my folders or allowing me to Search for a folder by name. I can't do that same thing with the desktop client.

Yes, I do the same thing and use the Recently Moved folders. I'm just hoping to see the folder search functionality come to the desktop.

Thanks for response.

According to my research, the classic version does not support this feature right now (although it used to be available), but you can continue to use this feature in the New Outlook or the Outlook for web. Hope it helps!
