Smart Art Design Layout Issue on Word

Hi all,

I am just having trouble with my smart art design in word. When I try to add a shape below any of the existing shapes, everything goes everywhere as shown in the screenshots. I am thinking that it could be because the chart is so large now, but surely, I can change something so that I can still add new shapes without it doing this? First image is before I add shape and is the layout I want; second image is when I add a shape, and my layout is ruined. Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou

Hi,

How did you add the shape?

Did you select the Shape and add the sub Shape you need?

Or did you copy and paste?

Try to open the Text Pane and check if the relationship is changed, you can modify the relationship n the Text Pane directly.

Then Select all Shapes by Ctrl + A and go to Layout- and select Standard:
