Good morning Everyone,

I have a question regarding the Timezone that Teams shows when you click on the detail tab of a user.

In fact, when I look at the details of the Timezone it appears that a User under my same tenant, created in the same country with same info, is under a different Timezone, but in reality it is not.

I've attached to this question the tab that shows that this user is 1 hour behind me, and if I look from his profile my user tab it shows him that he has 9 hours more than me.

Is it just an error of Teams application engine, or there is a way on the Tenant for setting the Timezone for all the user in a specific group?

I would like also to add, that if we open Microsoft 365 Account info and Outlook, the time Zone is correctly set up for both this Identities, so the error appears to be only on Teams.

Thanks for answering.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the way Microsoft Teams is displaying time zones for users in your organization. Here are some possible reasons and steps you can take to address this:

    1. Teams Client Cache: Sometimes, the Teams client cache can cause inconsistencies. Try clearing the Teams cache for both users to see if that resolves the issue:
    • Sign out from Teams.
    • Close Teams completely.
    • Delete the files in the following directories:
    • Windows: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams
    • Restart Teams and sign in again.
    1. User Profile Settings: Verify that the time zone settings are correct for both users in their Office 365 profiles:
    • Go to the Office 365 portal.
    • Navigate to My account > Personal info.
    • Check the Time zone setting and ensure it's set correctly.
