Azure OpenAI Vector Store can't create a new store

Trying to add a vector store but it never shows up in the list. I click + Add Store, upload files, click Create. I see them get uploaded but the vector store does NOT show up in the list of Assistant Vector Stores. I've refresehed the page with refresh button as well as refresh web page.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, thank you for posting your query here!I tried to create a vector store in Azure OpenAI, I didn't face any difficulties in creating vector store. Even I have uploaded a file without any issue.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help you.

Sometimes, the files might still be in the "in_progress" state.

Make sure all files have finished processing before checking the list again.

Try refreshing the status of the vector store itself.

Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.

Ensure you have the necessary permissions to view and manage vector stores.

Thanks for helping out. The vector stores I created via the UI never show up in the dashboard. The files are listed in the Files window. I waited 24 hours, logged out, logged in, cleared cache etc. I just tried it again. Same issue, files are listed in portal "Data Files", but in portal "Vector Stores" the created vector store never shows up. I tried getting it via code as well but the only vector stores in the list are the ones I created previously (1 via the portal UI back on 8Aug, the other 2 via code). Creating and populating a vector store using the ruby openai gem works as expected with immediate results. Something on the portal is broken

I recommend reporting this issue to the Azure OpenAI Service support team. They will be able to investigate the issue further and provide a more targeted solution. You can report the issue by following these steps:

Go to the Azure portal and navigate to your Azure OpenAI Service resource.

Click on the "Support + troubleshooting" tab.

Fill out the required information, including a detailed description of the issue and any steps you have taken to troubleshoot it.

Submit the support request.

The Azure OpenAI Service support team will review your request and provide assistance as soon as possible.
