How do we enroll Windows Server 2019, 2022 Virtual Machines to Intune?

Hi,

I am able to enroll my Windows 11 VMs to Intune. Similarly, as per ISO standards, our organization wants all Windows Server VMs to be enrolled to Intune. Please note that Windows Server VMs are Entra ID joined but not Enrolled with Intune. Please help me out in steps to enroll Windows Server VMs to Device Management (MDM).

All Windows devices can be connected to MDM. You can connect to an MDM through the Settings app. To create a local account and connect the device:

1. Launch the Settings app.
2. Next, navigate to Accounts.
3. Navigate to Access work or school.
4. Select the Enroll only in device management link.
5. Type in your work email address.
6. If the device finds an endpoint that only supports on-premises authentication, this page changes and ask you for your password. If the device finds an MDM endpoint that supports federated authentication, you're presented with a new window that asks you for more authentication information. Based on IT policy, you may also be prompted to provide a second factor of authentication at this point. You can see the enrollment progress on screen. After you complete the flow, your device is connected to your organization's MDM.

Hi Sunoj,

I am able to enroll in Windows 11 VMs, and not able to do in Windows Server 2019,2022. Inside Windows settings--> Accounts I am not able to see access Work or School account. My OS base is Windows Server 2022 Datacenter.
