Network Shared folders inaccessible

Hi Azure support,

You know I have been having an issue regarding my network shared drive that are on the Azure VM when im working from home by using an Azure VPN, I’m unable to access them, surprisingly, I can ping the VM from my laptop and also ping my laptop from the VM. I tried to log calls with Microsoft, however I can’t find the right option for this ticket. Please assist

    Hello,

     

    Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

    Please kindly try below steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    1.Check if the connection support and is configured with SMB Encryption.

    2.Check the firewall and network rules and make sure the traffic is normal.

    3.Check if the TCP.Port 445 is open on the network.

    4.Check if SMB service is running and listening well.

    5.Check the DNS configuration and make sure it's working properly.
