Select size greater than 4000 characters

Why do people say that to execute a Select of a size greater than 4000 characters you have to do this? It doesn't work!!

Also, I can't split into several Select's because I need the RANK value that is obtained when all the words are in the same query.

While asking a question you need to provide a minimal reproducible example:

(1) DDL and sample data population, i.e. CREATE table(s) plus INSERT, T-SQL statements.

(2) What you need to do, i.e. logic, and your attempt implementation of it in T-SQL.

(3) Desired output based on the sample data in the #1 above.

(4) Your SQL Server version (SELECT @@version;)

All within the question as text, no images.

Did you try using UNION to combine small query result parts?
