Hi,

I have a Windows Server 2016 which failed to run the windows update with error "0x8024402f". After rename the folder "SoftwareDistribution", it failed with error "0x80070057". If I restart the server, it will show "0x8024402f" again.

Both "Windows Update", "BIT Service", "Cryptographic Services", "Windows Installer" and "Software Protection" are started.

Any idea?

    Hello,

Can you manually install updates through Microsoft update catalog?

    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

Error 0x8024402F commonly is caused due to poor Internet connection or if there is some file corruption.
