Hi Microsoft

This issue happens on one of my office' computer.

I update the computer when Windows asked for it. and restart the computer. After that , the share folder was gone.

It should be like this

User's image

So I intend to log in again. This fileserver in opened for anonymous . and all computer in my office works fine. But this one after windows updates. Keep asking for username and password. But I didn't set up one.

What has changed on windows updates?

The server has no change, The problem is on the client.

Thank you

Quan

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

If your windows client is managed by your organization, it could be caused by the GPO setting update issue. You can try below steps to allow Anonymous Access:

1.Open group policy editor and navigate to: Network Settings > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Lanman Workstation.

2.Enable Insecure Guest Logons: double-click on enable insecure guest logons, select Enabled, and click OK.

3.Restart the Windows Client to apply the changes.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
