Why did the latest security update delete my fan?

I was using my computer, the latest security update went through, after rebooting the fan no longer works. It was working before, so WHY is microsoft trying to destroy my computer?

Windows 10 updates would remove anything related to the mouse. A pain, but not major. Windows 11 is much more fun. Now the cooling fan is gone. This is a critical part! Are these updates actually being debugged before they are sent to us? It doesn't look like it.
