    La software assurance è un'opzione di licenza che offre vantaggi aggiuntivi ai clienti che acquistano Windows Server, come la possibilità di utilizzare le licenze locali in Azure, ottenere diritti di doppio utilizzo e accedere alle versioni più recenti del software. Le versioni OEM o ROK di Windows Server 2022 non includono la software assurance, ma possono essere acquistate separatamente da un rivenditore autorizzato Microsoft. Per acquistare la software assurance, è necessario avere una licenza valida di Windows Server 2022 e un contratto di licenza multilicenza Microsoft. La software assurance può essere acquistata entro 90 giorni dall'acquisto della licenza OEM o ROK.
