My computer is not listed in Explorer Network folder in Windows 11

My computer is not listed in the Windows Explorer Network folder in Windows 11. All other computers on the network are listed. Reading similar Q&As it seems that this is a Windows bug without a solution. I've tried all the tips but nothing works.

My Win11 laptop is not listed in the Explorer's Network section. But's that's ok because I'm "already there". I don't need to use the network to access it, I just open the local C: drive folders.

Now, if other PC's can't see your Win11 pc, then you would need to fix Network Discovery. Is that your problem?

Hi MotoX80, Yes you are right. My computer does appear on other PS's network listings but not on mine. Some time ago My Computer used to appear in my Network listing in Explorer. As you say, "it's already there". I'll stop seeking a solution to my "non problem". Thanks for your help.

Hi,

The issue where a computer is not listed in the Windows Explorer Network folder can occur due to various reasons. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Open Control Panel. Go to Network and Sharing Center. Click on Change advanced sharing settings. Ensure that Turn on network discovery and Turn on file and printer sharing are selected.
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Locate the Computer Browser service and ensure it is running. If it is not, start the service.
Open Device Manager. Expand Network adapters. Right-click your network adapter and select Update driver.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Check for updates and install any available updates.
Instead of using the network name, try accessing the computer using its IP address. Open File Explorer and type \\<IP address> in the address bar.
Restart your router and the computer that is not showing up in the network.
