Hi,
The issue where a computer is not listed in the Windows Explorer Network folder can occur due to various reasons. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Open Control Panel. Go to Network and Sharing Center. Click on Change advanced sharing settings. Ensure that Turn on network discovery and Turn on file and printer sharing are selected.
- Press
Win + R
, typeservices.msc
, and press Enter. Locate the Computer Browser service and ensure it is running. If it is not, start the service. - Open Device Manager. Expand Network adapters. Right-click your network adapter and select Update driver.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Check for updates and install any available updates.
- Instead of using the network name, try accessing the computer using its IP address. Open File Explorer and type
\\<IP address>
in the address bar. - Restart your router and the computer that is not showing up in the network.
Best Regards,
Ian Xue
