Dear Sir,

The PowerPoint app automatically closes when I enter hibernates or sleep mode.

However, the other app, like Word or Outlook, seem still work well.

And both my laptop and PC have the same issue.

I also tried to un-install, re-install or update the Office from 2019, 2021 and 2024, and all methods are now work.

Is there any possible root cause and solution that I can fix this issue.

System:

  • Windows 11 version 23H2
  • Office LTSC 2024
Microsoft 365 and Office | PowerPoint | For business | Windows

    Hi,

Did this problem appear in all PowerPoint files?

Where did you save the PowerPoint file?

I suggest you try these methods:

First please Check Power Settings in Windows**,** Go to Settings- System- Power & sleep. Ensure that your power settings are configured to prevent applications from closing when entering sleep mode.

Then please update Graphics Drivers, Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with applications. Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.

You can also try to Disable Fast Startup, Fast Startup can sometimes cause issues with applications. You can disable it by going to Control Panel- Power Options- Choose what the power buttons do- Change settings that are currently unavailable and unchecking Turn on fast startup.

Just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
