I am able to login to MSFT teams web app from my laptop via my personal gmail account,

But when I try to login within an Android Teams mobile app via the same account, I am getting the below sign in error message :

looks like youre not using teams yet, check that you have been invited by the org youre trying to sign in to. you can also set up teams for your org by selecting create new account error

Note :

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple time to remove cache as suggested across other threads but still the same issue.

Also, the same account was working fine couple of weeks ago from the same Android mobile app but it is not working now

    Hi @Nandan Hegde

Based on my knowledge, Teams can be used for work/education (organizational accounts) or for personal use. The error “looks like you’re not using Teams yet…” usually appears when Teams doesn’t detect that your account is provisioned for an organization, so it might be a sign‐in flow mix‑up if the service is expecting a different account type.

    1. Confirm you’re using the correct Teams app experience:

     • Microsoft Teams mobile app can support both organizational and personal accounts but sometimes may default to trying to sign you in as an organizational account. When you tap “Sign in,” double‑check if there’s an option (or a prompt) to sign in with a “Microsoft account” (for personal use) versus “Work or school account.”

     • If you have multiple accounts logged into your mobile device (or in the Teams app), the app might be pulling the wrong one. Try signing out of all accounts in the mobile app and then adding your Gmail‑based Microsoft account as a personal account explicitly.

    1. Clear Teams app data completely:

     • Although you mentioned reinstalling the app, on Android some residual data may persist unless you manually ‘Clear data’ from the phone’s Settings > Apps > Teams > Storage.

     • After clearing the data, restart your phone and then try signing in again.
