Databricks instance set-up without admin privileges

i am logged in to an azure portal. i can create a resource group and a azure databricks workspace but when i launch the databricks workspace the instance does not have account admin privileges so i can't do things like set-up unity catalog

    Hi @82374249

    You won't be able to enable or set up Unity Catalog on your own if you don't have Databricks account admin privileges, even if you created the Databricks workspace in Azure. This is because setting up Unity Catalog requires access to the Databricks Account Console, which is restricted to users with account-level admin rights in Databricks, not just Azure.

    Someone who has access to the Databricks Account Console Can assign you the Account Admin role via Console

    The person who owns the Azure Subscription in the Organization likely Azure AD Global Admin can add you as an Account Admin directly, Create Unity Catalog metastore and assign you as the Admin.

    Admin can also setup Unity catalog assign as a Metastore Admin or Data Steward via the Unity Catalog access controls.
