Bluetooth Missing or Not Working on MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi Motherboard (Windows 11)
How to fix faulty bluetooth on widows 11
So for the last few months, around about since I upgraded my motherboard to an MSI B650 Gaming plus, I've been having repeating issues with my WIFI and Bluetooth.
Fortunately, when I run into a WIFI Issue, all it takes is a simple restart to solve the issue, so that's not a concern however I am unable to find a solution that fixes the Bluetooth.
I've attempted to download new drivers, I've completely restarted my PC in order to redownload windows, and I've tried the trouble-shooter, none of which made the slightest difference.
When experiencing the issue, which always happens, The option for Bluetooth is not available in my system tray. When I attempt to investigate this in settings there is no option to turn on the Bluetooth and attempting to add a device simply gives me the couldn't connect error.
My specs are:
-MSI B650 Gaming plus WIFI
-Ryzen 5 8500G
-RX 6750XT
-Corsair vengeance 32 GB ram
-RM650i PSU

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing. I believe the support page of the product you recently purchased likely includes "how-to" guides or FAQ sections. Regardless of which motherboard you bought, it's worth checking these areas as a conscious and informed user.
If you can’t find a solution there and the product is still under warranty, the best course of action would be to send an email to support while trying different troubleshooting methods. They may offer a solution or release a relevant update. Please check item 4 first, then proceed step-by-step starting from item 1.
While waiting for a response from support, here are my recommendations:
- Try downloading and installing drivers via Windows Update.
- If the drivers from Windows Update don’t work, download and try the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer’s website.
- If those drivers also don't work, and assuming your chipset is Intel, try downloading and installing drivers directly from Intel’s support page.
- During all these steps, make sure to record the version numbers of each driver you install. If none of the above methods help, try installing an older driver version than the one provided on the support pages, which may be more stable.
- If that also doesn’t solve the issue and your hardware supports it, try installing Windows 10 to confirm whether the issue persists. If the problem doesn’t occur on Windows 10, it might be an issue that can be resolved with future updates in Windows 11.
- You mentioned that you're currently using Windows 11. If you switch back to Windows 10 and none of the steps help, try reinstalling Windows 11, but test it before applying updates. Some updates might be causing the issue.
