Trackpad Multi-touch Gestures

Question

Is there any way to use multi-touch gestures with the trackpad?

I want to go back and forth with three-finger swiping when browsing.

I have a newly bought surface pro 3 with type cover. The 2-finger scroll on type cover track pad works well in most softwares e.g. IE, windows explorer. However at some very specific instances the 2-finger scroll doesn't work. For example in microsoft word 2010 Draft View, and in sumatraPDF continuous page view, the 2-finger scroll doesn't work. I tried connecting a microsoft sculpt ergonomic mouse and use the scroll wheel and it scroll just fine at those two instances. 

Also the Zoom out pinch gesture with the trackpad doesn't work in programs such as microsoft word, sumatraPDF, adobe acrobat. However the zoom in pinch gesture works fine. 

Is there any way I can tackle this? Or should I patiently wait for an update? and how can I reflect these glitches to microsoft so that they will take note and try to improve?
