However using that method the formatting is lost and it just pastes one long character string into my email. Why has the copy icon been removed - what can I do about this?

Copilot knows the answer. Please also see the attached (I think) prompt and response.

    You:

What happened to the Copilot export function? Did it go away? Provide a detailed explanation of why it was removed.

    Copilot:

The Copilot export function was temporarily removed due to technical issues and updates in the system1. Specifically, the removal was part of a broader update (KB5043145) aimed at improving system stability and performance1. Unfortunately, this update inadvertently affected the export feature, causing it to disappear1.

Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on restoring the export function in a future update1. In the meantime, users can manually copy and save their conversations by highlighting the text and using the copy function (Ctrl+C on Windows or Cmd+C on Mac), then pasting it into a document for saving or printing2.

Would you like more information on alternative methods to save your conversations, or is there something else I can help you with?

    Hi Lara,

Do you mean the copy button? You can still high light the text and use copy.
