I have called thinkorswim 2 time and talk to them and they keep telling me it's not there program that causing the problem.

It's a new PC with windows 11 AMD RYZEN 5 WITH 32MB OF MEMORY 1TB HARD DRIVE

It would work fine on my old windows 7 program.

I also get a second Error box and it has this in it.

The JVM found .\JRE is damaged

Please reinstall or define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME

to point to an installed 64-bit JDK or JRE

What do I need to do to fix this?

I want you to understand that I'm 75 years old so please go easy on me.

    Hi David,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

The error code 0xc000046e typically indicates a problem with the application's compatibility with the operating system. In this case, it seems to be related to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) used by Thinkorswim.

Based on the second error message you provided, it seems that the JVM installation on your computer is damaged or not properly configured.

To fix this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Uninstall the current version of Java installed on your computer.
    2. Download and install the latest version of Java from the official website: https://www.java.com/en/download/ ****
    3. Once Java is installed, try running Thinkorswim again and see if the issue persists. | Disclaimer: This is a non-Microsoft website. If the issue still persists, you can try the following additional steps:

If the issue still persists, try running Thinkorswim in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or Windows 10.

To do this, right-click on the Thinkorswim shortcut and select "Properties". Then, go to the "Compatibility" tab and check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for". From the dropdown menu, select either Windows 7 or Windows 10.

Try reinstalling Thinkorswim. First, uninstall the current version of Thinkorswim from your computer. Then, download the latest version of Thinkorswim from the TD Ameritrade website and install it. Make sure to follow the installation instructions carefully.
