Moving a Window With Cursor

This is a VERY dumb question, so sorry in advance.

I normally move a window around the desktop by positioning the pointer over a non-active area in the title bar, left-click and drag.

When I have a number of tabs open, the non-active areas in the title bar are slim and far between. I'm either hovering over a "resize" area, or over a tab and then pulling it out into its own window, or hitting the minimize or maximize controls.

It takes "effort" (stop laughing at me...ha ha) to find the sweet spot to move the window instead of hitting an active spot...if I'm trying to go quickly or focusing intently on something I have to break focus to find the sweet spot.

There's got to be a better way that everyone but me is aware of.

Like maybe there's a button I can hold down while clicking that makes anywhere I click on the window a draggable sweet spot.

Anything?

Hello, Jeff Brewer

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You might consider using vertical tabs, which can make it easier to manage and move tabs, especially when you have multiple tabs open. Open the Microsoft Edge browser and go to this page via the address bar: edge://settings/appearance/CustomizeToolbar to enable vertical tabs.

You can also use mouse gestures. Open this page in the Edge address bar: edge://settings/appearance/customizeBrowser, and enable the "Mouse gestures" switch. Hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse to perform gestures.

Additionally, there are some browser extensions that can help you manage and move tabs more conveniently, such as Tab Manager Plus or OneTab. You can search for these extensions in the Edge Add-ons store or the Chrome Web Store.
