Original title: Printer driver error

Problem with driver:

c:\windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\E_IAUDEKA.DLL

After an automatic Windows update 9/15/10 I have been unable to print to my wireless network Epson Workforce 600.  I had no problems prior to that update.  I've restored to before the update and installed all manner of updated drivers for the printer from Epson, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and I'm now going nutso since the above error is keeping me from launching any of my Office series programs.  DH can print from his Vista powered laptop to the printer, but I haven't been able to since 9/16/10.

I'm running Windows 7 on a 64 bit recently purchased Dell desktop.  Office version is Small Business 2007.

Please help!

Andrea

Hi,

  1. Is your computer connected to a domain?
  2. Could you provide us the exact error message?
  3. Do you get any error message when you try to print?

If your computer is not on a domain try the below listed methods.

Method 1.

Let us run the sfc scan in the safe mode and check.

To do this, follow these steps:

a. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

b. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

sfc /scannowThe sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

More Information about SFC scan can be found in this document:

**Method 2.**Clear Printer Spooler files and enable the spooler service

a. Click Start, type "Services.msc" (without the quotation marks) in the open box and click OK.

b. Double-click "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.

c. Click Stop and click OK.

d. Click Start, type "%WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers" in the open window, and delete all files in this folder.

The above article is for Windows Vista. It applies to Windows 7, too.

Method 3.

For Microsoft Office issue you may try launching this application in clean boot state and check. It’s a possibility that a third party application is causing the conflict.

Refer to the article below for steps about how to start your computer in clean boot state. How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: When the troubleshooting is over do not forget to reset the computer to normal startup. Follow the step 7 in the above article.

Hope this helps.
