The AMD64 value is right, even for an Intel Processor. No need to change it.
The PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER variable should show your Intel processor.

I have an Intel i7 Core 860 processor. It's value in the Windows 7 Environment Variables should be displayed as x64 while I am running Win 7 in 64 bit mode, yes, which I am. For some reason the value is AMD64. How do I correct this if the value is not "x64" for my processor, and can it cause any of my software applications to error if this value is incorrect. (Specifically, ATI Catalyst Control Center v9.11.... AMD).
I have tried changing the value to x64 only to have it revert back to AMD64 after a reboot.
