Delete .exe downloaded programs

Is it safe to delete all .exe downloaded programs in the Downloads Folder in Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 64 bit?

Hi MdQuinn,

It all depends on what the .exe files are for. If they are programs that you’ve downloaded and installed on your system you can go ahead and delete the installation files. However, if you installed a program that’s pointed to your Downloads folder, you should not delete the executable file that launches the program. We cannot advise you if you can or cannot delete those files without knowing that files you have stored in your Downloads folder.
