Ok i tried all of the above and it didnt work i happened to look at another feed and used these directions

right click my computer

properties

advanced system settings

performance settings

data execution prevention tab

turn on DEP for essental Windows programs and services only

This worked.

i had uninstalled every player and update there was and was still getting the same message

Maybe this setting got changed when I did an automactic udate for windows i dont know but it fixed the issue

others may want to try it

I tried everything I could find. Then I opened my Desktop Shorcut and went to Properties and then to Open File Location. Then I right clicked on the Game Icon and created a new shortcut on my desktop. Now the shortcut works to open the game with that Keyhole DRM error message.

    Hi!

I've been 'living' with that error message, as well as the rest in this list since Vista Home Premium had me install SP-1:

                    "THE ERROR MESSAGES"

1)"DRM Keyhole Application has stopped working"

    2)"Game Launcher has stopped working"

3)"Shockwave.com DRM Application has stopped working"

4)"This program requires D3DRM.DLL, which is no longer

included in this version of  Windows"

    5)"Shockwave.com has stopped working"

    6)"Macromedia Projector has stopped working"

7)"Director Player Error---Index out of range"

    *specific to "Ouba-The Great Journey*

I've installed the newest versions of Direct X; and all the "PLAYERS" that come from www.adobe.com ---'SHOCKWAVE PLAYER' AND 'FLASH PLAYER' (ADOBE bought Macromedia Flash a while back); the "SHOCKWAVE" you'll get from the 'shockwave.com' GAME SITE is different than the SHOCKWAVE PLAYER.......THE GAME SITE WILL GIVE YOU THE MOST RECENT 'ACTIVE-X CONTROL'....the SHOCKWAVE PLAYER WILL ALLOW ANIMATION FOR GAMES AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON ALL SITES YOU VISIT.  As someone who has been having "game problems" for over A YEAR, I learned the importance of making sure your PLAYERS from

    adobe.com are up-to-date, too!!

    I hope I helped.....and GOOD LUCK!!

    Best Wishes,

    Crazy4Pups :)

    Deedra Phares,

This problem is associated with an issue between Direct X and Shockwave.  It can be corrected by either:

    1.  Re-installing the latest Direct X

    2.  Un-installing and re-installing Shockwave, if you already have the latest Direct X

    3.  Both of the above

To download and install the latest version of DirectX, follow these steps:

    1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/directx/aa937788.aspx (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/directx/aa937788.aspx) 2. Follow the steps on the Web site to download and install DirectX.

You may also visit the following Microsoft Windows Update Web site to see if DirectX updates are available:

    http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com)

You can also visit http://www.shockwave.com for information on downloading and installing their software.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
