I want to make "Fast Draft" my printing preference.  Even though I check that option every time I print, if reverts to "Normal" between print jobs.

Hi,

Select the Start ORB and then Devices and Printers in the right column. If it is not there, type Printers in the start search box and select Devices and Printers from the menu.

Right click your printer and select Printing Preferences.

Select Fast Draft from the pull down menu under Print Quality.

Select Apply.

To add to Lead3's advice, the reason your settings don't stick is because every time you change the settings when you print, those settings only last for that print session.  By changing the defaults from the Devices and Printers folder, that makes them permanent.
