problem with this windows installer package when installing touchpad driver on Asus X205TA

Hello,

I have this error

when trying to install SmartGesture_Win10_32_VER4012 touchpad driver on my Asus X205TA netbook running Windows 10.

    See some solutions you can try - watch out for the deceptive ads on the site. Just read and follow the instructions and don't install any of the suggested products:

    You also probably need to update or re-install the touchpad driver at ASUS so ask about that as well.

    Thanks, yes I clicked on "run as admin".

    I will try to install a chipset thing (driver?) and if it does not work I will contact Asus support.

    The error most probably indicates either file is corrupt or Windows Installer service is not running,

    Check Services:

    and try download again.

    Did you Right Click on the setup up file and click Run as Admin?

    If so then you definitely need to contact ASUS Support and ask in their forums about known issues. Be sure you are using the right version for your model and Windows version.
