Hello there

Hopefully a simple question. We use a Device Configuration profiles for wireless using Security type - WPA/WPA2-Personal with a pre-shared key.

Our question is we would like to change the pre-shared key and wondered if we change the key in the config, wait for all the devices to pick up the change then change the pre-shared key on the SSID would the devices automatically connect back to the same SSID once it came back up?

Also, if there is a better process to follow we would be very grateful to hear.

Thanks in advance

@tim richards Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

From your description, it is available in theory. However, there may be some problems in practice. When you deploy only a device configuration profile for wireless to change the pre-shared key, the devices will cut off network. It causes that the profile couldn't be deployed to devices successfully.

Given this situation, it is suggested to try to deploy a WiFi profile to devices. This profile will keeps the devices connecting to network. Then try to deploy another profile to change the pre-shared key.

Thanks for understanding and have a nice day.
