Hi,

It is possible to change the user's "Source of authority" to a proper "Azure Active Directory" for password reset and administration purposes?

We started using MS teams for collaboration a while ago. Then, we began using some Azure products with the same AAD tenant and I learnt how to use the potral. Our tenant is not sync with on- premises and we have about 30 users.

After a while I realized all the users were created using an Microsoft account (created while signed up to MS Teams). I was wondering if it is possible to change the user's "Source of authority" to a proper "Azure Active Directory" now that I have my custom domain all set up. Not all users need to be modified. As I understand at least one user most be a MS account

I found this questions but I'm not sure if it's the same scenario:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/29314/change-azure-ad-source-of-authority-1.html

My main concert is keeping chat history (not recreating all users but modify them) given the fact that it's how day to day operations work.

@Cristian Pichardo It is not possible as of now, you cannot change the Source from Microsoft Account to Azure AD for any administration purpose, the user in your scenario must go to Microsoft account page for password reset.

You can invite the users with their Azure AD accounts (B2B) and not Microsoft account while inviting them to your tenant, but these will be treated as new users.
