Hi! amsz
You can use Microsoft's "Feedback Hub app" to send feedback and suggestion, they have a team to look after the issue.

Hi
I develop an application that users can download from the internet (exe file). From time to time, I get an email from users about SmartScreen blocking the application from running.
Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your pc at risk.
I understand that this report is solely because the exe was downloaded from the internet but how can I (as the developer) report this "false positive" warning? Also, in other cases, the warning gives the option to run it anyway, but in the last email I got, there was no such option.
Thanks

Sorry that this is the only way I know at this moment.
On the other hand, you can give the installation instruction to teach your user configure their computer by pass the warning to avoid it prompt up every time.
To do this : just right click properties of your stockdiv.exe
Uncheck "Unblock security"
Attached the screen for your reference.

HI! amsz
Would you mind send your link for me to have a try? I see what I can do.

Thanks.
It says I should wait for the warning popup to appear and do some actions there but
Also, I saw this in the article
My program was probably not flagged as malicious, but rather it doesn’t have what Microsoft calls an “application reputation.” SmartScreen looks at the history and number of downloads of executable files. A very unusual download is assumed to be riskier than a frequently downloaded file. When a file has been downloaded enough times, it will be added to SmartScreen as a safe download.
So I should just wait for SmartScreen to realize by itself?
Thanks
