Intention behind supporting XLM(Excel 4.0) macro which is 30 year old technology.

Would like to know why Microsoft has not deprecated usage of XLM (Excel 4.0)macro from Office Products. It is 30 years old technology, and is seem to be heavily misused by threat actors in making and distributing malicious Office Documents.

As your issue is not realted to Office deployment or Office general issues, I would remove tag "office-itpro" and "office-deployment".
