ASDK Certificate Bug

I have an install of ASDK v2002.35 for the purpose of studying for my Azure Administrator certifications. I also used Matt Mcspirit's Azure Stack POC Configurator to install additional services. Overall all works as expected, but while attempting to deploy Custom Script for Linux extension via Portal and ARM Template I'm getting errors which appears to be due to the untrusted certificates.

PORTIONS OF ERROR MESSAGE:
(Enable failed: processing file downloads failed: failed to download file[0]: failed to download file: http request failed:)
(x509: certificate signed by unknown authority)

I was able to remediate the issue by manually importing the AzureStackSelfSignedRootCert into a Linux VM. Then, I could deploy other scripts without error.

FYI: Why are there not more extensions made available to the ASDK (KeyVault Extension)? Likewise features natively made available, but do not work (metrix/monitoring)?

It's been 9 days since my writing this post and no one has offered assistance. I will not let it die!
