Hi Pallav,
That work account would explain this problem, a work or school account connected to your PC imposes many restrictions on Windows operations
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
If I open CMD as administrator and type sfc /scannow I get the error -> "You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility".
If I run chkdsk - it gives error -> "Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or the disk may be locked by another process. You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode and make sure the disk is unlocked."
However, if I open task manager, Click on File -> Run new task-> cmd -> check box "Create this task with administrative privileges". Everything works fine.
Can't understand why the normal CMD with elevated rights is not working as expected.

Yes, I am the admin of this laptop.
Yes, this laptop is connected to my work account and is Azure AD joined, enrolled in Intune.
Hi Pallav,
That is very strange, is your user profile an Administrator on the PC, and is there a work or school account linked to your PC, perhaps for software installation?
Thank you Dave for your suggestion.
Yes, I am doing the same. Even I clicked on Open file location, created a shortcut on the desktop and under Advanced checked the option Run as administrator.
Still, it does not work
Hi Pallav,
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
What method are you using to run Command Prompt as Administrator,
Is this the method you are using, you must right click the Command Prompt icon and select 'Run as Administrator' otherwise it will not run with administrator privileges, even if your account is an administrator account.
