Everyday my randomly crashes to the BSOD. It says that i have a VIDEO TDR PROBLEM, and that has something to do with the file NVLDDMKM.SYS.

I searched online, and i formatted my computer. Didn't work. Then, i uninstalled my nvidia drivers, deleted the old ones and reinstalled via the original website. Still didn't work. After a thorough search, i found out that the file NVLDDMKM.SYS doesn't exist on my C:/System32/Drivers folders. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Thiago,

Yes, please try connecting that card back up to your PC, if your system then crashes, there may be a physical issue with that card.

Yep, I'll be watching the final, its delayed by another 30 minutes, the Liverpool fans can't get into the stadium!

    Benzema hat trick??

    Hi Thiago,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

You should completely remove the current Nvidia device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturer's website to download and install their recommended version of the Nvidia device driver.

A slightly older version of that driver is usually more stable than the latest version.

If that does not stabilize your system, please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.

    Hi ThiagoDel

Your minidump file indicates this is the location of that file, can you find it in there?

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispig.inf_amd64_647b4244e991951b\nvlddmkm.sys

    Hi ThiagoDel

That is certainly worth a try, it will do not harm to your system to do that and hopefully that may solve the crashes.

Yes !! It is there !!

In another microsoft guide, someone suggested the following : copy the nvlmdmmkm.sy_ located on the nvidia folders, place it on the location of the original one. Then, rename the old one to nvldmmkm.sys.old, and use the expand command on cmd.

    What do you think?
