Exporting Microsoft Teams Data

Question

Hello,

I'm trying to export my Teams data via https://privacy.teams.live.com/ui/en/dataexport , but it seems to be working only with private Microsoft accounts (not with work/study ones). Could this be fixed somehow and is there any other way to export this data?

For the chat history at least, you can try the steps outlined in the article to export data.

You would need to run a PowerShell command first then go to the Security and Compliance center, https://compliance.microsoft.com/homepage,

Hello, Didi,

Well, I am the administrator, but I didn't find such option from the Teams Admin Center, is there any way to back up the user data from there? I will need to use it in a big organization and this method won't be very helpful to use locally.

Exporting our Teams data can be done in Microsoft Teams personal and Microsoft Teams small business. Although it is also possible when using the business account, through the Microsoft Teams Export APIs, it requires consent and permission from an administrator before we can use them.
