Document-Reference header specification

Hi,

When I send an email from Exchange Online maillbox to my gmail account using outlook.office.com and attach files from OneDrive as links, then Exchange Online inserts "Document-Reference" header for each attachment.

Where can I find specification that describes header syntax and meaning of all fields in the header.

Example:

Document-Reference:

        https://TENANT-my.sharepoint.com/personal/USER_TENANT_onmicrosoft_com/_layouts/15/guestaccess.aspx?docid=1dafbbac7ebf54dfca8b63b6411660737&authkey=xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx;

        FileName=file name.docx;

        ProviderType=OneDrivePro;

        ProviderUrl=https://TENANT-my.sharepoint.com/personal/USER_TENANT_onmicrosoft_com;

        Permission=AnonymousEdit;

        ContentType=application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document

Do not know if I chosen correct topic-sub-topic to ask this question.

Thanks

    Hi Oleksii,

    Since we don’t have an official article about this part of message header, I will give you some examples. If you share a .png file to others, the FileName will be aaa.png. The ProviderType will not change. It will still be OneDrivePro. The Permission value is depend on the permission you choose to share this attachment. There are six levels. You can change it by yourself.

    Regards,

    Barry

    Hi.

    My initial post describes specific situation and specific header: Document-Reference. And question is not about general syntax for any header (that what your link points to).

    I need specification of Document-Reference header (all its fields/parameters) that is inserted when Exchange Online users attaches file from OneDrive as a link and sends an email outside the company.

    Thanks.

    Hi, Barry.

    Thanks. I know it.

    But my question was "Where can I find specification that describes header syntax and meaning of all fields in the header."

    Hi Olekesii,

    Based on my test, this particular email header can be found on Gmail. Here are the steps:

    1. Sign into Gmail using the recipient Gmail account.
    2. Locate the email and open it.
    3. Next to the Reply button, click the Down arrow > Click Show original.

    Then you will find a similar Document-Reference message there.

    Regards,

    Barry
