Apple notes has stopped syncing with notes in outlook for Mac on my M1 MacBook Pro. I updated to MacOS 14.5, deleted the exchange account from Outlook for Mac, closed outlook, restarted my MacBook Pro, opened Outlook for Mac and added the exchange account back in but it still does not sync with apple notes. Apple notes on my Mac does still sync with notes on my iPhone 15 and my iPad.

Try this: Web Your sticky notes also sync with the web. Go to www.onenote.com/stickynotes to view them. You might have to log in to your preferred browser with your Microsoft account credentials.

I have done this and been able to retrieve my notes and it’s made me feel lot better that at least some are there !! Hope this helps and works for you!! It didnt work on outlook browser but worked on my iphone safari browser..

So I have the same issue and this has happened before. I assume some update cleared it then. I'm confused about the idea that outlook has no "apple notes". No one is claiming this. My outlook account is an exchange account and it has a notes feature that is server based that can be accessed 1) in Outlook Mac, 2) in outlook web, 3) via sign-in on the iPhone in the Apple Notes app, and 4) for the last 10 or so years via sign-in on my Mac in the Apple Notes app.

I sent 4 different test notes - 1) from notes IN OUTLOOK, 2) from Apple notes on my Mac, 3) from Apple notes on my iPhone, and 4) I modified an existing note that was showing everywhere and I modified via Apple notes on my Mac.

The notes create in OUTLOOK showed up everywhere. The note created on Apple Notes in the iPhone showed up on the iPhone and in OUTLOOK but not on Apple Notes on Mac. The note created on Apple Notes for Mac showed up everywhere. Then I modified a note in Outlook and the change got pushed to iPhone but not to Apple Notes on the Mac. I know its a bit confusing but what the purpose was to demonstrate that inbound notes to Outlook are all showing up in Outlook Notes and iPhone Apple Notes (even when sent from Apple Notes Mac), but when the note or change is outbound from OUTLOOK or iPhone Apple Notes, somehow Outlook gets it to Apple Notes on the iPhone but NOT to Apple notes on the Mac AND when I modify an existing note on Apple Notes Mac it doesn't seem to make it back out through outlook server.

I'm guessing you'll probably still try to point fingers at the Apple.....and they may be the culprit....but without skills/access to your code and resources, there is no way us users can solve it because Apple will point the finger right back. Is there a team that works on network interconnectivity issues that could look at how the Outlook Notes/Apple Notes syncing might have changed in a recent update of either MacOS or Outlook for Mac?

    Dear Bill Rei,

    Good day.

We understand very well your concern and we apologyze for the issue.

However in the office 365 business app does not include apple Note , example of one office subscription app . Referenece: Microsoft 365 Business Standard | Microsoft 365 (not Apple Note include)

and when you sign into your business account in the office app 365 it sync with all the other office app. If Your apple Note doesn't sync with some office app you may check with apple support, you may check some setting in your Mac or trouple shoohing your apple note . We don't have any knowledge on Mac . This issue is related to Mac support.

We apologize if we are not able to meet your requirements; however, You can double check also with outlook for Mac team the issue .  For reference: [Contact support within Outlook for Mac - Microsoft Support](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/contact-support-within-outlook-for-mac-d0410177-8e65-4487-93f7-206a3a3d71a8 "support.microsoft.com").

It is because you have mention business account they move your issue to us but we confirm that office 365 susbscription app does not include apple Note and if you sign into one of the Office 365 app with your business account it sync with all your office 365 app.

In the meantime, please to better troubleshooting your issue you may contact Apple support or double check as well the issue with our outlook for Mac support

For other concerns, please do not hesitate to add you post in the Microsoft Community Team.

I use a professional account - xxxxxxx@whxxx****. I created a new note in outlook for Mac (version 16.85) on my Mac. I then checked OWA and the note appears in the "Notes" folder under the Folders ****category. It also appears in the OneNote feed when I click on the OneNote icon on the top right of the OWA window. It is not showing up in Apple Notes on my MacBook Pro but it did show up in the apple notes app on my iPhone.

I then created a new note in the apple notes app on the MacBook and it did not show up anywhere else.

I then created a new note in the apple notes app on my iPhone. It showed up in the notes in outlook for Mac on my MacBook and in the Notes in OWA but did not show up in the apple notes app on the MacBook.

This all used to work great a couple months ago.

Thanks for your help on next steps.

    Bill Rei

    Good morning!

Thank you for publishing in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with syncing Apple Notes with your outlook (exchange account) on your M1 MacBook Pro.

It's important to know the type of account you're using, because each account has a different process and a different support category.   What type of account you are using in your outlook? is it outlook.com account, Hotmail or professional/educational account eg: ******@companydomain.com. If you are using outlook.com account let me know we will move your issue to the dedicated team

However, if you are using professional/educational account eg: ******@companydomain.com to better understand the problem and provide a solution, we need more details from you, please provide us with the following information. Thank you.

    1. Create a new note in Outlook for Mac and allow it to sync to Exchange
    2. Open OWA (Outlook Web Access) and see if the note appears
    3. Please check this link: Where do Apple Notes (on Microsoft Exchange account) get stored on - Microsoft Community are you referring to this Note if yes! you have posted your issue in the wrong category you should posted the issue in OneNote category our dedicated team will help you.
