"Cannot read property 'replace' of undefined for existing blob in Storage Explorer

Hello,

I used to be able to go to Storage Explorer (preview), select an of my existing blobs, click "rename" and give another name to my blob, which would then trigger the associated Azure Function. But now, for some reason, it no longer lets me rename my existing blobs. Whenever I click on "rename" and give the blob a new name and click enter, an error window pops up saying "Cannot read property 'replace' of undefined". This error just happened suddenly without my making any changes to my account (that I can remember). I don't understand how the blob can be considered "undefined", since it clearly exists and has content. I can open and download it, I can delete it, I can access its properties, etc.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks.

Just have a try to use the storage explorer after deleting the cache in following way

    1. Close Azure Storage Explorer
    2. Open %appdata%\storageexplorer (Type the path in Run window and press enter). Most of the cases, path should be C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\StorageExplorer
    3. Delete everything
    4. Launch Azure Storage Explorer again and try if you are able to succeed

Not sure what version is installed in your machine. Try installing latest one and you would see Clone button and with that I could rename a blob file name
