When I enter text into Excel the cursor is not shown in the correct location it is either a little ahead when entering in the formula area at the top or a little behind when entering directly into a cell. Is this a common problem? Is there any solution? Problem only seems to be in Excel, Word is fine.

FIXED.  The update to version 15.13.1 (150807) has resolved this issue for me.

You are preaching to the choir here. We all are users just like you. We agree that this is wrong and needs to be fixed. You must tell Microsoft, not us. Use the smiley face in the upper right of excel's menu bar, or place your vote here:

Yes it is a common problem. No there is no solution. We need to wait until the bug is fixed in a future update.

I am running excel 2016 on a MacBook Pro (late 2011) with iOS 10.10.4 Yosemite and have exactly the same problem with Excel and more.

    1. Cursor at wrong location
    2. When I try to move back or forward inside the cell to make a text correction, text content displayed seems sort of crippled
    3. Cells containing wrapped texts show words/letters overlapping each other or spaces omitted
    4. When I try to shift select a portion of text inside the formula bar,

Here is a partial screen shot showing the problem.

I'm running 15.15 (151008) and it has not been fixed.

Also, it's unbelievable that this version of Excel was shipped with a bug this detrimental to usability.
