I cannot sign on to Microsoft, and I cannot get rid of Microsoft Setup Assistant on my MacBook (running Sierra). I cannot shut down my computer. How do I get rid of Microsoft Setup Assistant?

Hi Wayne,

Please refer to DavidDannecker’s suggestion in this thread and check if it helps.

If this is not your situation, to help us clarify your scenario, please provide some more information:

  1. Which product are you using, Office 2011 for Mac or Office 365?
  2. Regarding the “Microsoft Setup Assistant”, could you please provide a screenshot of this page?
  3. When does Microsoft Setup Assistant prompt out? When you start Office apps?
  4. When did the issue start? After you upgrade Office or OS?

Regards,

Joshua
