Doesn't matter what kind of computer, you (or someone) has to pay for the license to use Office.
Many computers come with a "free sample" of Office 365 installed at the factory. But it is only a 30 day free trial. After that you have to pay for it.
There is free Office Online applications. They are dumbed down from the paid version, but cover the functions you need for basic files.
