Good day,

I’m experiencing font issue specifically fonts not loading or displaying in PowerPoint. I can use the fonts in Word.

The fonts are Google fonts – Roboto and Merriweather. I have tested other google fonts and experiencing the same situation.

The fonts work in the previous version – could even embed.

I have reinstalled Office 365. Powerpoint version: Office 365 PowerPoint MAC ver 16.35 20030802

Have even copied fonts in the Microsoft font folder. I manage my fonts with Suitcase. I have also copied in the Mac font application.

Anything else I can try appreciated!!

    Hi Edward,

Sorry for the trouble caused at your end.

As per your description, we’ve tested at our end in PowerPoint for Mac with the Production version i.e. 16.35, where I can’t see the Google Fonts and can work normally in Word for Mac with the same production version. So, we tried testing in the Insider Fast version i.e. 16.36 and can see the Google Fonts in PowerPoint application without any problem. Since the problem is resolved in the Insider Fast version, this behavior can be fixed in the coming updates of Production.

Given the situation, we also suggest you provide the feedback in the related developing team via Office applications. Refer to this article: How do I give feedback on Microsoft Office?

In addition, if you’re willing to update your Office applications to Insider Fast, you can follow the below steps:

    Open any Office application> Help> Check for updates> Advanced> Insider Fast> Update.

Note: Since the Insider Fast version is for the test purpose where we get early access to new features and updates, and the opportunity to send feedback directly to Office.

    Appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Have a good day 😊

    Best Regards,

    Chitrahaas

Please try installing .TTF versions of those fonts. Office seems to be having increasing problems using OTF fonts.
