I am trying to make a multi-line text field in Microsoft Lists editable without having to open it. I've done this successfully for other fields of a different type but text fields are not cooperation. Here is the code I am using. Where have I gone wrong?

{ "$schema": "https://developer.microsoft.com/json-schemas/sp/column-formatting.schema.json","elmType": "div","inlineEditField": "[$Description]","txtContent": "@currentField","style": {"white-space": "normal","padding": "11px 0"},"attributes": {"class": "ms-fontColor-themePrimary"}}
