Can tables inside a Loop component do Formulas?

I have inserted a Table in a Loop component to collaborate with others.
At the bottom of the columns in my table that are Type > Number, there are drop-downs offering Sum, Average, calculations. But will this table allow me to create calculated Columns? Right now my "Cost Estimate" column is a manual calculation of the $/hr and # hours columns.

Hi Matthew Scott (Matthew_Scott)")

Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you have a question about Microsoft Loop possibility of having computation using a formula, let’s work on this together as team to get to the bottom of this.

You can use formulas in tables inside a Loop component, but only for some basic calculations such as sum, average, count, min, and max. You can access these formulas by clicking on the drop-down menu at the bottom of each column that has a number type.

However, if you want to create calculated columns based on other columns, such as your "Cost Estimate" column, you will need to use a different tool. One option is to use Excel Online, which allows you to create and edit spreadsheets in your browser and collaborate with others in real time. You can insert an Excel Online spreadsheet into a Loop component by copying and pasting its link. This way, you can use all the powerful features of Excel, such as formulas, functions, charts, and pivot tables.

We look forward to your reply.

Sincerely

Juhn Jac

Exactly this, I don't want the full functionality or complicated calculations of Excel but I do need the ability for the table to calculate a sum from two columns.

For example 2 (people) for 2 (hours) = 4 Hours total

Loop wouldn't have to replicate the full capability of Excel, but being able to add cells from two columns and having the result be put in a third column would be helpful. Not being able to do simple math misses an opportunity to use Loop tables.

    Hi Juhn Jac,

    Will this be implemented?

I can see that Loop Tables can be converted to Excel sheets. I find this very useful for collaborative work and I think it would be great to get more seamless excel formula (basic formulae) implemented in Loop tables
