Are emails from @infomail.microsoft.com with links to https://t.infomail.microsoft.com legitimately from Microsoft?

I received an email from FamilySafety @ infomail.microsoft.com with the subject, "Updates to your Microsoft 365 subscription" and links to URLs at https:// t.infomail.microsoft... (space added between "https: and "://" and "..." = ".com" so that the URL doesn't automatically become a link), and it was delivered to my MS Outlook Junk Email folder. If the email was from Microsoft, it seems odd that it would be treated as spam.

Hi there Casey679, I am Lumie and I would love to help you today.

This does look like a fake mail. Although the @ is correct, Microsoft never asks for someone to click links as that is how people are tricked.

If an email has a link in it, it is not Microsoft, please delete it.

You can find your Subscription information here: [https://account.microsoft.com/services]

I hope this helps, let me know if I can be of any further assistance. -Lumie

Bonjour Pete Robertson

Hi,

it is more than suspicious that when you open https://t.infomail.microsoft.com in your browser you're going to be redirected to https://auth.services.adobe.com ... Hello Microsoft? What's going on there?

What do you have to do with Adobe?

I got an email from ******@infomail.microsoft.com that said there were items in my cart, with a clickable link. I opened a new browser window, went to my Microsoft account, and my cart was empty. Seems like a scam to me.

Hi

Emails from the domains below are genuine Microsoft communications:

  • @mail.onedrive.com
  • @notificationmail.microsoft.com
  • @infomail.microsoft.com

See Why did I get an email saying your account will be deleted? for more information (which has now been updated).

That is curious, as I just received one re: OneDrive from "******@notificationmail.microsoft.com" – in my Hotmail/Outlook Junk Mail folder =/

...and now the automated email for this reply, from "MicrosoftAnswers@microsoft.com" also ended up in Junk Mail. Hmm. Strange.

Microsoft, why are you flagging/filtering your own emails? Lol.

Hard to tell without looking at the actual mail.

It if went to Junk its the first red flag. It may be a spoof mail (fake email looking like Microsoft).

Perhaps putting the full email here?

Tried the link you gave, it seem to go to an adobe website.
