A web-based tool in Microsoft 365 that enables users to quickly create surveys, quizzes, polls, and feedback forms.
Dear Nguyen,
Hello! Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Sorry for the delay in replying. I understand that you want to create a form in Forms that can upload files. I fully understand your ideas and needs.
Unfortunately, the file upload feature is currently only available to users within the organization, which means that only users belonging to your company or school can upload files. And if you want external people to be able to upload files, you may need administrator permissions to change the file sharing settings of the organization.
If you are currently using a personal account, you will not be able to see the relevant options for the time being. If you use a work account, you should see the "File Upload" option when you create a new question. If you select it, you can only collect responses from members within the organization.
The file upload feature is currently only available to users within the organization, mainly for security and privacy reasons. Here are some of the reasons:
- Data security: Restricting file uploads to users within the organization ensures that only authenticated users can upload files, reducing the risk of malicious files or viruses being uploaded.
- Access control: By restricting file upload permissions, organizations can better manage and control file access rights, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access and upload sensitive files.
- Comply with policies and regulations: Some organizations have strict data management policies and regulatory requirements. Restricting external users from uploading files can help organizations comply with these policies and regulations and protect the privacy and security of sensitive information.
- Reduce abuse: Restricting file upload permissions can prevent external users from abusing the file upload function, reduce system burden, and ensure that the file upload function can run smoothly.
I hope this information is helpful! If you have any further questions, feel free to let me know.
Best wishes
